A sad day

Got home from buying socks and getting mom's eyes tested to find Missiko had finally died. The doc said that if she caught pneumonia it was all over, and he was right. We buried her in the backyard right under the bird feeder, as the most fitting location. And planted a few bulbs while we were at it.

She was my second favorite cat in the house, after Marchesa. Sweet tempered Siamese, we had good bathroom time together. She was the best traveler as well, good company and cheerful in cars.

Dear Lord, enjoy the company of our kitty, Missiko Birdstalker Ribbonchaser. Are you sure you don't want a black lab instead?

I am so sorry, Jeannie. :-( We are all sad here at Tsavo.

We will raise a glass tonight in her honour. We know you gave her a great life. Pneumonia is a hard one for kitties; I've lost two to it in my lifetime.
