We have hot water. We had to pull up a few boards off the back porch and stuff space heaters down there, but the pipes unfroze at last and we got real hot water last night around 5pm. Still need to go pick up about 50' of pipe insulation and send my little mole minion down there to duct tape it onto the pipe itself. Who knows, it might help! Also need to get some wrapping for the water heater itself, as it's the crappy low end version. Friends have boasted that their Bosch and Rennai tankless heaters rock, and now I covet my neighbor's water heater. Another commandment bent.

Mom has an interview over at Willamalane, a community gym/pool place. Fingers crossed! Even if they only offer part time hours, it'll really help. Especially her sense of self esteem.

Looking forward to making one of Nancy's fancies come true - she said she didn't have a recent picture of her boys and really wished she had one. So Lou, John and KTB are all going to put on tuxes and let me photograph them. Lou wants extra pics for his wife, and Nancy will get pics and each boy will get family pics and we all know what I get out of it. I get to drool over men in tuxes! Gotta go see if there are any nice frames at goodwill that will shape up nicely with minimal work. Also Uncle John hasn't yet answered about free prints vs hitting a kinkos. All will work out. Hm. John - what about Rex?

Mom's been making naughty cranberry zucchini nut bread for christmas baskets. Now talking about sprinkling leftover cookie crumbles on top. Have resolved for the sake of my weight management that I can only eat pieces brought to me - I refuse to cut into them myself. That'll keep me down to a slice every couple of days. But my god is it good!

Just got word from Ian this morning that he will arrive in Portland on Saturday morning. Mom is tickled pink! I think Geof leaves off to spend holidays with his family on Sunday. Dave arrives Christmas eve.

Going to have to work monday and tuesday though. I just have too many deliverables to get out the door. Ah, the things I do to keep my Wonder Woman image alive at work. I want the lasso though.
