Post Turkey Waddling
Nov. 28th, 2008 11:21 pmSlept in way late today, so had to make up for it. I got one wall's trim painted, two picture frames blacked, six inches of embroidery done, leftover pans scrubbed. Hope to get the living room done this weekend so I can start looking at the kitchen or my room. Also need to pull up a corner of my room carpet to confirm or deny the presence of hardwood underneath. Based on my closet, it looks good but must be sure.
We found some mis-mixed paint at the store for $5/gallon in shades I love. Got three gallons for my room, and a gallon of a soft rose that we agreed we liked and would decide where to paint later. I'm voting bottom of the stairs instead of red, but we'll see how it goes. Still need to go buy a piece of pipe to fix the bathroom sink to make it functional, but I refused to leave the house or spend money on black friday.
The first gig of the Baker Street Irregulars is next weekend, our little Victorian quartet singing Christmas Carols. Here's hoping we get at least one practice between now and then.
I'm really enjoying finding long lost souls on Facebook just now. Friends from High School are reappearing, bringing back half forgotten moments and stories. It's been fun to wander down memory lane.
