Sicky weekend
Oct. 26th, 2008 10:30 pmHoping this is getting out of the way now, as I have seriously fun plans afoot! But I missed going up to Portland for a haunted house with Carla and that's totally bummed me out.
Auntie Dana bought the house. Mom and I drove by it to see it today. It's a total rose covered cottage, completely landscaped, completely adorable. I'm jealous, except with knowing that my place will be worth a lot more. Especially if we can actually do some of the removals ourselves of the cement on the walkway.
I think we'll need pros to pour the steps. The pavers mom and Geof say we can manage.
Got an interesting offer on Friday from one of the Finance guys, asking if he can have parts of my time for a special project. I tried not to get too excited, but ZOMG YES BOINGY BOINGY. Ahem. Why yes, I'd like to dump some of my current workload and do this far more interesting task. But I'm going to be good for the guy that at least fought for my promotion. If he'd won my raise too I'd be loyal for six months, but doing the right thing by HR only buys three.
We have a bunch of headstones to decorate the front yard with for next weekend. I need to finish my purple dress for the CIA dinner, I think. And put new buttonholes on my engineer's coat, that I recently cut apart and cut down and put back together.
Also need to get started on the dystopian story. And finish the visualization book I was reading on how to show ideas in new ways to strangers.
So much to do. Must get better.
