Fine arts - emotions?

jeanvieveI cannot recall ever having seen visual arts of paint or sketch or such that made me cry. Or tear up. Or even do more than smile and sigh a little for all that I cannot do. Somehow, it's just not an emotional medium for me. Pictures are not worth a thousand words if you're just not a visual learner.
But I can cry buckets for music, or words. I have a few books that I keep around just because I know I can always read them to get that little catch, hitching tears for what could be but just isn't. And there's music that can do it for me.
Tonight it was Joshua Bell, damn his eyes. But he's always more than decent. Vaughn-Williams can do it for me, and I think I'm off to bed to listen to his fantasy on a theme by Thomas Tallis.
