Expectations (whiny)

jeanvieveIts a slippery slope to being energetic and accomplishing lots. People start to expect it of you, and then when you want to slack off its hurt looks and the feeling you must 'need to talk'. Bah, I say. Energy, like light, is a definite sine wave.
Loaded someone's sheet today like a good little staffer, without even sending the lazy bint back through chargen to do some of it themselves. 12 points of niceness. Didn't call them a git for saying 'and I want that thing we discussed'. +1 point.
Fixed a number of problem issue tickets at work, for which there will be no appreciation. Doubtless even someone noticing. +2 points for selflessness.
Got another round of documents copied, signed, faxed, balanced books, scheduled payments for when I'm overseas, in general did things ahead of time. +1 point, because why can't I always do that?
Messed up on arrival times, had to redo sweetie's ticket, hotel reservation, etc. -5 pts of not paying attention.
Was waxed by 2 teams of Humans last night. -7 pts.
Went to gym tonight for cardio. +5pts. Also losing Christmas addition, mostly gone. Yay, me.
Figured out story plot, trying to figure out how to execute it avoiding triteness. 0pts, stop stalling.
Not gettin GCIA paper done, but spending hours honestly trying. 0pts. May go to SANS again.
Taxes done. 3pts. Owe money. -3pts. Net gain of 1/2pt for not procrastinating until April.
Wrote senate, house, governor, and president to censure war in iraq, demand they knock it off and go back to just ruining OUR economy and leave europe alone. 3pts. General feeling of impotence on the subject. Abjuring crew to write opinions likewise, whatever their opinions are. 1pt.
John's book arrived for Prague, going off to read and plot. Promised I'd go teach a class in calligraphy and illumination layout tomorrow night. Was I drunk? Might be political discussions re: Baronial status. Mental note to take earplugs and leave early.
