Strawberry Fields Forever
Nov. 10th, 2007 11:07 pmJust got back from seeing "Across the Universe". I just don't see why the critics didn't like it. The cinematography was great, the singing was fun, cameos galore. Bono, Joe Cocker, Tracy Chapman, Eddie Izzard, Salma Hayek, Luke Creswell (from Stomp!).. no kidding, the talent and beauty was staggering. Must send Carrie. Also all the fun of being high without those annoying side effects. The visuals were amazing.
Well, maybe if people don't like the Beatles they won't like it. It's honestly what Hair should have been but juuuuust missed.
Glad I saw it on the big screen. Will probably buy it one day too, but today was enough. Next up, Elizabeth! Then the Golden Compass. Moving into good movie season at last.
Tomorrow is off to the Christmas Gift and Food festival with the gals. Yay! Lovely self indulgent weekend.
