Why is it always 2am?
Sep. 10th, 2007 02:07 amDoes anyone else find it hard to sleep after buying airline tickets? The night of purchasing tickets is as bad as the night before getting on the plane for excitement and anticipation.
So tickets are in hand to go out to San Francisco on 10/11. Bringing Pony and Stacia to take the town by storm. Must find a piano bar that does musicals/classic glee club type music at least for Stacia, ala the Morrison house. I think I still have a number of places written down somewhere in my wallet from running into that San Franciscan at the Opera. Hm.
Washington Square Bar & Grill
Star's
Ivy
Lulu
Or is it Ivy Lulu?
1st Street Grill
Apparently so. And also the Moose's Cafe Triest for Opera brunch. That one may or may not work, as Sunday in the area calls for Dim Sum at the happy Dim Sum place.
Also must take Laura and James to sushi in that little strip mall they sent us to. Happy Anniversary and all that.
Stacia's only out for the weekend. Pony and I are staying to drive up to Eugene and suss out real estate agents and their wares. I'm going to need one looking out for my best interests. Which means, I suppose, that I should find out both what I'm qualified for alone in a loan, and what Geof and I can pull together as a unit for this first purchase. Somewhere to land, as it were, not necessarily pretty.
Spent the day wearing my Sharks jersey to watch Football, reminded me of Kurt. Hey Kurt, wherever you are. Can we girls use your place? Hee hee.
Discovering that the MP3 arm band is also good for sleeping. I reclassified everything gentle and soothing as "classical" so I could have a genre to sleep to. I love the way that thing runs forever. Currently listening to Edgar Meyer, "Hindsight". Excellent track, though it makes me wistful.
Took pictures of my place today, must fill out the marketing form and get them submitted after processing at Dave's. It's all very real for me right now. Talked to Baldrick briefly on the phone today, after some messaging. He laughed and said it would take him years to mull over such a dramatic change as relocating. I'll bet someone a jelly doughnut he ends up in Vancouver soon. Real jelly with sugar on top.
