So. Finally went to the local Wednesday night waltzing group, and dragged along Dave, Diane, and Jeanne. And it was good! Not the best teacher ever - didn't slow down to the step at a time level that some of the new people needed. But there was lots of work on the syncopated waltz step (ONEtwothreeFOURfive) which I've not done before. And I did get one really good rotary with twirl in.

They also have some regular dances. But I'm reminded of the things I knew before. Things like don't wear face makeup - only waterproof mascara. Why? I sweat like a horse doing cardio and this is total cardio. Go to the gym and start running again at last. No more of just walking uphill, we need that endurance. Yes, precious. We wants to dance more than one fast rotary in a row without needing to sit down again and suck water.

John's journal puts it perfectly. I don't remember being fat. I remember being svelt and dancy for hours. But they have events here and regular dancing and a couple guys that can really hoof it. At last, cardio I like. Now to get Pony in on it with me too.

Turned my ankle showing off with Dave though, trying to illustrate how to twirl someone across the body. He missed a step and I stuttered to avoid stepping on him and got a little twist. Off to go rub that weird stuff on it. Dave's along because girls take dance classes and he's ready to meet girls. Diane likes any kind of dancing. Jeanne likes dancing but isn't sure about partner dancing, but we're working her into it slow like. Hm. Need more dancing boys.

But good times, good times.

I have realised that I still have not yet made cookies with my cookie roller, as I promised to you two? Pennsics ago. I hope to remedy that by the winter.
