I’m against liberal ‘whackos’ and republican ‘whackos’ alike. Frankly, I hope that everyone everywhere votes out their current incumbent. Why? Read between the lines. The Dems are letting you down too, you liberal hippies! The article didn’t say “Only republicans are working 3 days a week”. It said all of them. Those mean ol’ Republicans are staying up late after Dems go to bed and passing things? Well, you lazy assed Democrats, if you’ve been whining about it for 6 years and haven’t decided to be there M-F, as late as is needed until that gavel strikes end of day, as your taxpayer I ask why not?
You make $165,000, give or take, it says. Fair. Do you know what me and everyone of my acquaintance would do for that much money?? If there is no responsibility to the feelings and ideals of ALL your constituents as well as your party, then why are you not loyal to your paycheck? An honest politician stays bought, and we the people by voting them in are supposed to have purchased them. I don’t think any of them are honest.
Social conscience and social contracts are indeed lost concepts with this current bunch. But I believe that the 2 party system is inherently flawed. They have come to resemble each other.
So what’s my armchair solution? Vote. Go now and vote over your lunch hour, all of you whiners. Vote for what you believe in. There’s always something to vote NO about, if you can’t find anything to support. Don’t take part in the dumbification and apathy of America.
My vote means nothing, you say? Mathematically its pointless to turn off reality tv to go face reality? Well, did you buy a lottery ticket? Your odds increased astronomically between not buying one and buying one in terms of winning. Still damned small, but at least its no longer impossible.
