Always have something you can pull out for snack o' clock at midnight when friends drop by.
Clean your toys and put them away right after use.
If you love people, tell them.
If you are sad at people being passive aggressive or unkind, tell them gently.
Before you say anything at all, think for a moment as to whether it will make a difference for good or ill. That's all. Just figure it out. Hell, who am I to tell you whether or not to say it?
Accept the consequences of your procrastination with quiet dignity.
Cast bread on the water. Well, metaphorically speaking unless you're feeding ducks.
Calm yourself and relax before swinging anything shaped in any way like a stick.
Do not blame kids for being kids. Do not applaud them for it either. Just remember its a brief phase. Treat them like the adults you want them to be, with as much dignity as you can in times of trouble. People need things to live up to.
When you write emails and posts in an upset mood, save them as drafts until the next morning's re-read. Then send them to a friend that loves you for review. Lets face it. If you're about to flame, you've got no objectivity.
Objectivity is occasionally overrated. But never at work.
Try to love your neighbor. If you just can't because they're crazy, be as nice as you can when faced with the lunatics. Especially if witnesses are about.
Figure out who owns land and who owns a back hoe, and carry really big lawn and leaf bags in your car.
