If you liked Shawn of the Dead, run right out to recent releases and rent "Undead". Australian flick, and at least to me hurtingly funny. The blood on the windshield alone is worth it.
Got up. Went to get the morning dose of melodrama. Played bridge this afternoon. Killed evil zerg, making the universe safer. Headed over for evening dose. Got tired of dosing, dragged Girl A to the gym. Ran a little faster today for a very brief time, but it is by such small victories that I gauge the progress of my attendance.
Talked Girl A into dragging son along and coming with me to a wedding symposium expo thingie. Though chewing glass and staging an automobile accident sounds more appetizing than going, when you've been someone's friend for 20+ years you go to the damned wedding expo and pretend to be enthused for her. Maybe I've been to too many weddings. I'd rather she'd asked me to sing or play. Musicians get to sit.
Just realized I'll have to organize her shower. Wondering if I can bribe anyone else and pawn off the majority of the organizing. I hate showers. Wedding showers, baby showers, hate em all. The only reason I liked mine was that instead of normal I invited everyone out to all you can eat at the Broker on Intl day when it was free crab legs. And the champagne was free there. Hm. Maybe for Cheri... I did have a fun time at one pre-event party, when I pasted on a moustache and crashed Ben's bachelor gaming weekend. That was entertaining, though the memory of Irel trying to sing "Roxanne" karaoke style in the sushi bar is forever branded on a sensitive spot.
3 showers in one year seems excessive. And there's still to come for Gina and Carrie. Hm. I wonder if I can get the girls to combine and go back to the Broker for the crab legs. A shared shower is no less wet when the champagne runs freely.
