Silver linings

jeanvieveHaving taken out 401k loans, that's money that didn't disappear in value. So really I have more money than it looks like, if I squint a little. One loan paid off in September too!
Supporting 1.75 adults, 4 cats, 1 dog, and 3 mortgages last year is paying off in taxes. They're going to cover procedure costs and insurance deductibles completely. Good things.
The doc is going to let me pay when my tax return comes in. Woot!
I'll be able to afford new glasses for mom on top of it all. Nice glasses that won't break and be lighter on her face so that she'll wear them the way she really needs to.
It's the little things. And I'm grateful for the little things.
Plotting with Susan on whether really we should own a hotel somewhere on 101 by the coast for the lot of us to live one day. It's looking appealing, and strangely affordable. She's talking about coming down this summer to hang with me and John in the Bay. Woot!
All in all, the clouds could be lifting. Now if the clouds will just rain jobs down on my roommates, life would be so good.
