World of Win!
Jan. 30th, 2009 09:26 amGaming last night was good. (Okay, not good in the fun, competitive way that's an actual challenge, but good in the 'hook new people in and expand the circle of people you can call on a Friday night' way). Met a young family moved up from California, who came and played with us. They even may be able to host occasionally, with their apartment complex meeting house. Nifty! Carla's cute hiking buddy came too, seems pleasant as well.
Much to do today. Finished the viking boar. Working on embroidering a viking pack rat. Yes, John's viking tunic will be all his totem animals and some of the ones I think of where he is concerned. It's a very cute knotwork tail! I'm having fun with it, and at least he'll probably wear it once if I make it pretty. Work also very busy - new set of deliverables due Monday for project 3, not to mention projects 1 and 2.

*general happy noises on the phone*
"Now. In order to make our deadlines for Availability this next month, we need to have all our deliverables loaded on Monday. Now, is everyone ready?" *crickets chirp for a moment, then a plaintive* 'Monday??'
As gently as I can muster. "Yes. This is what stacking two DCP dates in two consecutive months means in terms of timing."
*more crickets* 'Whose idea was that?'
Still gently, but with a hint of humor in my voice. "That'd be your boss. Okay troops, off we go!"
