Redemption

jeanvieveSo a crapper of a week, leading up to the loss of my credit card that I now have to replace because I really have no clue where it is, ended abruptly as I decided we had to get out.
Go see Inkheart! It has flying monkeys in it! And Paul Bettany. Beautiful, well crafted movie with some entertaining actors and actresses all around. Sure, a couple spots you give the characters some advice, but that happens in every movie. Even Quantum of Solace. (Move the camera down! Aw please, just a few degrees! You mean director!)
Then went over to the Wandering Goat Coffee Shop to hear Jamie's Bluegrass band play. They need a good sound man and some harmonies, but otherwise there were some really good moments. Jamie of course was faboo, the dobro/fiddle/etc player great, and the harmonica player actually complemented the music in a way that left me astonished about my liking him.
Comedy gold - Geofry at the end as we get into the car, waving a little sheet of paper. "And on Fridays they have free Espresso shots."
Us: "Oh? Wow. How many did you have then?"
Geofry: . . . . "Aw crap!"
