It would be neat
Aug. 26th, 2008 11:33 pmif one of my roomies got a job. Soon. I want a new staircase, and them's not cheap!
The boy leaves on the 3rd for Basic training. Yay! Go Ian!
Gryfen's coat looks faboo. John's pattern is cut out, and looks like it'll fit the measurements he sent. Decided to go with making my engineer's coat from scratch out of the same pattern instead of just buying then altering a black chef's coat, as really it's near the same price. Plus then I'd have to retrofit with braid, which is always a pain. Have my goggles and my winged trilobyte pin ready! And the belt Brucie bought me at Pennsic which will look scrummy with it.
Having WAY too much fun with this making Steampunk costumes thing. Haven't been this tickled in nigh 15 years about sewing. Sewed one of everything in my youthful enthusiasm, but nothing was just so darned fun that I had to do a lot more of it. Well, maybe the blackwork. I kinda like embroidery. It's meditative.
Gaming nights are going well on Thursdays. We had 7 people, not counting mom. Might even break out Arkham (the short version) if everyone arrives early on thurs. Just fight something small, to break us all in. No Cthulhu or Hastur fights.
Aunt Dana and Uncle John are having a tiff just now. Doubly glad I'm NOT staying there for the weekend. Even if KTB isn't home, it's points above people I love bickering. John, do you have a key?
22 lbs and counting. Woot! I totally rock!
