Boy the tide is sure far out there..
Jul. 24th, 2008 01:38 amStill working on getting all done for work, though I have a good exec briefing. And a meeting of my investment review board in 4 hours so I wish I could sleep but it eludes me. All the overtime the last few weeks makes a nice bonus, which is good with Mom still not working. Here's hoping one of the two jobs starts early in August instead of later.
Went to Yoga tonight with Carla and Geof. My first guy Yogi, and he had this really beautiful baritone for his "Ohm"s. Very into chanting and creating an effect. Bad me, sat there and placed bets that he'd be a very high maintenance date for all his lovely physique. No more high maintenance!
Took the boy out for Sushi as a 'treat before you hit the navy just in case you're gone by the time I'm back from Pennsic'. Does he know when he leaves? No. I'm pushing him towards getting organized for the first time in his life. He's going to get so screwed by his own procrastination in the military, over and over, unless he learns to write things down and remembers to read what's written.
The wine tasting award ribbons look damned cool.
Looks like I might get a dress done. Looking through clothes to pack. Need to get a bottle of Oregon red. Which one? Like I care the differences. Something with a cute label, yeah.
Signs of Life! Carrie has roused from her dark depression over losing the baby and is in Rome. Hurray! Apparently the universe is still on my side, as apparently the first day she actually felt like leaving the house again she nearly tripped over the flowers I'd had Dave buy and leave on her doorstep to pay me back a favor. The cheery card arrived the same day. Thanks, universe. You totally rock.
Rolling my eyes at KTB. Listen sunshine - I'm the sanest, most stable, fiscally sound, least needy girl you will ever date. Of all the people in the world to be paranoid about, I'm not it. Right. Had to say it somewhere.
15 lbs down as of today. *whistles a tune and heads off to bed*
