We survived. I drove all the way across country, and we moved ourselves in when the guy I'd hired didn't show up. Getting dressers up that narrow staircase was kinda tricky. I think the next owners will be enjoying them instead of me moving them again.

Boxes everywhere now. Going to be a tight fiscal month, due to some issues that popped up at signing. But we'll preservere, as always. Once my place sells, will be easier.

I like it here. House is cute. Eugene is nice. Now to find dancing!

Wait- what? You're in Eugene, OR? For the love of guppies, get thee hence to Pegasus Pizza, by UO. Ask if Paul or Lori are around (they're the owners), and explain that you took me to my first SCA 12th Night. Lori was my matron of honour, and ... hey! I can link a photo reference! This is them, in 1990 :)

You might score some free pizza!

Congrats on the successful completion of your midwinter, cross-country move! I am inspired and gratified to know that it can be done. ;-)

Heh heh. Be aware that I'm flat out swearing that I'll never ever so help me move in Winter ever again. And I'll hire husky men next time. It's not that I can't lift things. But I like watching husky men do my every whim.

Excellent!

I've already hired the husky men, so I'm set!

Yay! Yeah, saw the Tango center when we went down for the Friday art walk to see a friend play in one of her bands. Just heard about the ballroom place across from Hilton, but thanks for the name of it! The gals at the credit union couldn't remember.

Wanna dance?

I've sworn off dancing for the time being, it's for the best.

yoy, tell me about that "moving in winter" crap. Seemed like such a good idea, you have all this enthusiasm, you're going West...and then it snowed, and snowed, and snowed...and you were going up and down mountains...and the deer and the antelopes were standing around shivering, not playing...and then the cats woke up and cried...and there we were in the dark trying to unload the mattress. oh, joy. Yet here we are, actually in Mountain Time. I have to say I'm liking it so far. Mihai's almost never home, he was made general manager over the holidays and he's a happy basket case, so I've been exploring Boise by myself. It's charming, dull and hilariously safe. On the way to Oregon, this was a good stopoff, I'll get my breath back here. :)

It looked that way as we waved in passing. Nice. Pleasant folks. Deadly dull but utterly safe.

I went out with a guy who lives there VERY briefly. Okay, he came to visit me for a week, which was 5 days too long I quickly discovered.

Taking the boy off to fighter practice under a bridge tonight. Wondering quietly if that means all the fighters here become trolls? In search of billy goats.
