A good gig
Dec. 9th, 2007 12:01 amPlayed Ed and Colleen's Christmas party tonight. It was snowing like heck driving down, took nearly two hours to get there in downtown Denver. 36 was a parking lot of sliding cars going 5 mph. I'm so not going to miss that kind of snow!
Anyway. Was too snowy to risk going caroling, so the party stayed indoors all night, and we just kept playing. 5 hours of playing, and Colleen insisted on paying normal gig rates for the occasion. And fed us. I really love that party.
Driving home was a little easier with less traffic, though some people seemed still in a hurry. All one can do is wish them lots of luck, and pray they don't slide into one's own car.
Tired though. And feeling a dork as my Romans tried raiding the Gauls when I *knew* they were trapped. Well, knew once and forgot when I sent them. Now to make more troops to go free the enslaved ones. Ah Travian, thou art my naughty habit.
