Scary adventures
Nov. 22nd, 2007 12:33 amWell, I've committed to buy a house in Springfield, closing on Jan 2. My theory is to load up the truck the 28th or so and drive it out to Eugene with any selfless volunteers. Then park it, drive down to Sunnyvale for the New Year's Eve waltzing and day after gaming party (if I can wheedle an invitation for me and companions), and return by Jan 2 to sign closing papers on the new house.
Ideally convincing a few drunk people on the first of the new year to drive up with me to Eugene and help unload a big honkin' truck into a house. Hm. Somehow it will all work.
And hopefully my house will sell and close before all this starts, or at least by mid Feb so come March I'm not paying two mortgages. Opleaseopleaseoplease.
Ahem. Yes, doing an MLS listing as the 3 people who wanted to buy my place Right Now have all stalled out. Drat it!
Anyway. Tres excited. I think I missed Elizabeth in the theatres. Dragging many many friends up to mom's place for Turkey day tomorrow, since the roads are plowed. Dinner for 2 vegetarians, 1 lactose intolerant pescatarian, 2 that can't handle gluten or potatos, 1 with fruit issues, no pecans, no pepper for one kid, no corn for 3... My god, it's just like Pennsic.
