Back from Colorado. News there:
- I have an offer on my condo, closes 4/15. Only one more month of double jeopardy!
- Dave is well, Turtle is furry and still addicted to shoes.
- Wynn makes the best easter basket hunts. Haven't done anything so fun in a while. Plotting how to execute at Pennsic for beer caching - clearly the complicated clues had better be earlier. (Step 12: look where you'd be throwing up right now. "Oh. There it is by my chair.")
- Ran into Jalut at Merry Wives of Windsor. Someone feed him! Too skinny.
- Didn't get to see lots of people I wanted to, ran out of time. I wish I hadn't had to work.
- Have an offer on my condo. It's just so cool I had to say it twice.

Back to Sunnyvale:
- A fine dinner party at John's. Met Vytas at last, though the vibe I was expecting from conversations years past wasn't there. On the whole, a charming lot of folks. Saw John of Skye, a face unseen since Roo and I did Estrella. He's apparently engaged to a gal from up in An Tir where I'm from, so chatted a bit about the lay of the land. Siobhan? Hm. Why am I not good at remembering girls' names?
- Kurt's still a babe.
- Got James and Laura addicted to Rome.
- Saw Lysistrata in San Jose. It had really fantastic moments. I liked the melding of the modern gang dance style with the stylized greek chorus idea. There was lots of thigh acreage to be seen on the men, always a plus. The dramatic real breasts at the end confused me, given all the props and latex used for simulation of the boy parts. Given that they were responding with comedic awe, having comedic fake breasts ala Blackadder II would have worked just fine.
- The cute guy playing Homer wasn't as cute when I shook his hand. Alas the instant knowledge of chemistry.
- Road trip out to Sin City, where KY met up with us.

Sin City:
- For the record, Mandalay Bay is pricey but fun. Spent all day out by the pool, first time like it in years for my pale white girl self. SPF 50 and I survived okay.
- Scotty from High School is out here working lights and tech for O, but couldn't sneak us into the booth. Bummer.
- Saw Zumanity, which is Cirque du Soleil's version of a burlesque show. Though I liked it very much, I was left thinking it needed either a) more burlesque, go further or b) more acrobatics, do more. It's the first Cirque show I've seen that had flaws in the performances. (Small, but I'm a nitpicker.) Anyway. It could have had more dancing. The 'gay boys' fighting the tango in the cage had nice moves but was flawed. Again, just could have gone further.
- New York New York is otherwise kinda fun to walk around on the inside. As is the Luxor and Excalibur.
- Went looking for a Whack-a-mole game. The only one left on the strip is a sad, tired old machine inside the Excalibur. Only two moles can get it up anymore, and only one scores with a hit. On the whole, disappointing.
- Ky and I got lots of instructions on how to shoot craps from attractive men. Not unlike all the times I've been taught how to play pool, I thought to myself. Followed quickly by the thought, Hm. Must find some attractive fellow to teach me pool or darts again soon.

Off to bed now I think. In the morning it's brunch at House of Blues, then to the Elvis chapel to witness Deena & Rick's elopement. Then off to stop by John's dad in northern Nevada and home on Monday.

Been a good trip, but I miss my cat and my own pillow.
