Sopranos and Sleuthing
Feb. 16th, 2007 07:08 pmSo! There was an incident declared down in Costa Rica. I went from being occasionally on call to help out with called in incidents to leading an investigative team. Normally when one leads a team one has gone on a few incidents as a junior member to watch and observe.
I took the class 4 years ago. Let the record show that I'm equal parts exhilarated and terrified. Not unlike the first time I went overseas to present to customers. I know terror is healthy. It keeps us sharp, helps us grow to meet the inadequacies we see within ourselves.
Starting to find things - things that aren't great for our company, but at the same time aren't the bad things we were worried about. Just people not being great rather than people being bad. Happy I'm doing my job. Scared someone will point out that I'm a computer idiot. Or am I still? So hard to tell, surrounded by PhD computer types.
